Emtec Energy Crowned Contractor of the Year 2024 at Solar & Storage Live

Celebrating Outstanding Achievement in Solar and Energy Storage Solutions

Emtec Energy is proud to announce its recognition as Contractor of the Year 2024 at the prestigious Solar & Storage Live Awards, held at the NEC, Birmingham. This accolade highlights Emtec Energy’s exceptional contributions to the renewable energy industry and cements its reputation as a leader in solar engineering and construction.

With over a decade of innovation and growth, Emtec Energy has evolved from a small team in 2011 to one of the UK’s largest solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors. The company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions has been a driving force behind their success and this well-deserved award.

Chris Clark, Director of Emtec Energy, expressed his pride in the achievement:

“Receiving this award is an extraordinary honour and a reflection of the incredible work our team has put into making Emtec Energy a trusted name in renewable energy. This recognition is not only a milestone for our company but also for our clients and partners who have supported us on this journey.”

The Contractor of the Year award comes as Emtec Energy continues to push boundaries in the renewable energy sector, delivering key projects like a 19MW solar farm in Chester, a 4.1MW system at Diageo’s Leven bottling facility, and a 1.2MW solar PV system with Scottish Water Horizon. These initiatives underscore Emtec’s ability to develop tailored solutions that drive the UK’s transition to net-zero.

Paul Hogan, Operations Director at Emtec Energy, added:

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of our entire team. We remain committed to delivering cutting-edge solar solutions while advancing the industry’s standards for quality, safety, and sustainability.”

As part of its growth strategy, Emtec Energy also launched a new Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division in 2023, managing over 52MW of solar assets across 30 UK sites. This division enhances Emtec’s ability to ensure that solar energy systems operate at peak efficiency, maximising returns for clients and strengthening its role in the future of renewable energy.

This award is not just a reflection of our past successes, but a symbol of the exciting future ahead. We remain committed to driving the solar revolution, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and delivering sustainable, high-quality energy solutions.
