Emtec Energy delivered a 290kWp ground-mounted solar PV system at Scottish Water Horizons' Old Kilpatrick site, a key reservoir in West Dunbartonshire. This £485,000 project highlights our commitment to driving Scotland’s low-carbon transition by integrating renewable energy into essential infrastructure.

The installation includes 548 Trina Solar 410W modules and two Solis inverters, designed to produce 261,605 kWh of renewable energy annually. This equates to 46% of the site’s energy needs and offsets approximately 48 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, supporting Scottish Water’s 2040 net-zero goals.

The system was carefully designed to optimise available space while ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations. By meeting a significant portion of the site’s energy requirements, it enhances operational efficiency and delivers long-term energy and cost savings.
